Here are the highlights from several blog posts I have done on organizing shared bathrooms. These posts feature products from Amazon, Bed Bath & Beyond, Thirty-one Gifts, etc.
For example, you could use a simple bin from Dollar Tree or Walmart,
but for a little extra money, you could go with one of the Thirty-one Gifts products
below in your favorite print. I love the Keep-It Caddy to corral all my bathroom products.
I like the Keep-It Caddy in Black Cross Pop for my husband to keep his electric shaver, lotions, and other personal care products. This also work great for college students who need to take their bathroom items to a "hall" bathroom.

Delta also makes a small bin available at K-Mart and Sears for under $3. This small bin works great in drawers, but because it is made of light weight felt and cardboard, it will not hold up in a bathroom. The Thirty-One Gifts Little Carry All is great on the counter top because it is washable and made of water-resistant material, so it holds up great in wet enviornments.
I have also seen people using an over the door shoe organizer to organize toiletries, but I think that this can look messy. However, if you have many people sharing a bathroom, an over the door shoe organizer might work for your family. The small toiletry bag above is from Thirty-one.
I am currently using a square tote from Walmart to store toilet paper beside the toilet. I like it because it is made of sail-like fabric that can be wiped down.
Magnetic spice canisters above from Amazon, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc. are great for bobby pins, small plastic bands, flossers, etc. I found that they will stick to the inside of my medicine cabinet as seen in above picture, but you could also put a magnetic memo board in your bathroom.
